The collection also consists of several maps of Maryland and Delaware, dating 1901-2009.

Watson Vault Company records

The Watson Vault Company Records contain records relating to the Watson Vault Company, a funeral home and casket manufacturing company owned and operated by Pasher W. Watson, Jr. (1860-1939), son of Pasher W. and Margarette Watson, Sr. The business was located in Selbyville, Delaware and served both Delaware and Maryland. The collection includes burial permits obtained from the Maryland State Department of Health's Bureau of Statistics by the funeral home, providing information about the deceased's doctor, cause of death, and place of burial. The collection contains correspondence between the Stuart Patent Company, the National Service Bureau, and Watson regarding his patent on a type of casket known as the "Underground Mausoleum," illustrating the commercially mediated patent process in the earlier part of the twentieth century.
